Kara Heston is a licensed esthetician, skin and lash specialist, resident Brow Auntie, and ultimate hype woman. As someone who’s first priority has always, will always, be her clients, Kara aims to elevate the inner and outer beauty of every person who walks through her studio. 

Kara graduated with a degree in cosmetology, a move that served as a launch point—not a bookend—in her pursuit of further education. Over the course of her career, Kara wracked up 20+ classes and certifications across lashes, brows, permanent makeup, and skincare, sometimes investing in half a dozen courses to master a single technique. She approached higher education with a walk-the-walk mentality, understanding that to instill confidence in every client, she must first feel confident in every skill.

Kara built her career working for some of the biggest names in beauty and skincare, attracting a clientele through Ulta and Sephora. Early on, Kara made the decision to choose service over commissions, never pushing products that didn’t align with clients’ end goals. Her no-bullshit candor and auntie vibes was repaid by undeniable trust and loyalty—a fact proven by those who followed her for eight-plus years.

Because while Kara’s laundry list of certifications are enough to fill a studio wall, she considers her true awards shelf to be the list of women who stuck with her for the entirety of her career.

Kara will be the first to tell you my clients are my people—people who often blur the lines between clients and inner circle. Her client relationships extend beyond names and faces, with Kara remaining a constant through marriages, births, changing careers, and other life changes. In an industry inundated with the latest serums, injections, and could-that-really-work TikTok trends, Kara has never faltered in conveying simplicity to clients. Serving as a grounding voice in the field, Kara constantly reverts back to the 80:20 rule: Eighty percent of skincare is simply your homecare routine. For the other eighty percent, you go to her.

Kara holds an active cosmetology license from the Robert Paul Academy, with certifications in brow shaping, Skin Script Skin Care, Li-FT Saline Removal, and Dermalogica. A proud wife and mom of three kiddos, you will find her unwinding by binging BRAVO or rewatching Game of Thrones. An Aries to the core and self-proclaimed woman of little mystery, she maintains a close circle of friends—many of whom double as clients.
